However, these LA boys certainly know how to get the fuck down, or at least know how to ensnare help from the best to create deliciously dancable versions of their harsh numbers.

A couple weeks ago, along with HEALTH's release of their new album get color, URB magazine put up a zip of 5 slick remixes from Tommy Sunshine, Acid Girls and others. I really reccomend downloading it.

Funny that most iTunes libraries contain at least a few songs that its master was not aware of. 20 years ago, that would only happen if you bought a take-all-lot-deal of records without going though each one...blah...blah...(continue nostalgiabomb that I can't write because I'm only 20)

Anyway, today came across this Teenagers/CFCF-remixed track I'd apparently had in on my computer since January. It's a buttery instrumental under a spoken word narative about an electric, drunk, and theft-filled one-night stand.

CFCF is a Canadian one-man ethereal disco'er who's also pretty young and probably has a lot of recognition headed his way.

Fan Death (namesake) are the new darlings of the Tokyo boutique label Big Love, who also is the mama of creep-disco'er Salem and the always deliciously postpostpost punk Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti.

Moth, the prodigious product of Burial and Four Tet that came out earlier this summer. I've tested the limits of my headphones, and the limits of courtesy (I live in a 12-room warehouse/loft/thing and share two walls with others): I don't think this song can ever get quite loud enough.

Pat Vamos just finished a video to side A of Memory Cassette's Call and Response Vinyl Ep. His other work is also great, in that dreamy, found-footage, animated-gif-style-timing sorta way.
