Love Echodub Loves
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 3:05PM Having the suburban white girl upbringing that I did, Burial's Untrue was the first music I had heard that was accompanied by the "dub" tag. After that, most dubstep I heard was made up of that heady, waaawaawaawaawawawawawaaaaaaaaa electronic music for stoners thing. Didn't come across a lot of the staggery beat, super verby, etherial dub that I fell in love with. On that thought, XLR8R recently did an amazing article about the past couple years for Dub/Dubstep/Funky. Massively recommend.
Anyway, today I came across this beautiful (and super generous) compilation released by EchoDub Records called EchoDub Loves Vol 1. It's really great and it's for free, non-commercial distribution, so give a listen :) I especially like Track 5 "One More" by Autopilot.

Loving this music, I've never heard anything like it. I usually dabble in metal and the like.
Also, the song you recommend is track 4 not 5 :)
I would also check out Anechoic Chamber out on Echodub and if you want to make the jump to IDM-type music...check out Friendly Strangers out on Unnamed Label, it's a pay-what-you-want download and the music is pure lush.
